Born out of an initiative in the 1990s to connect more Jewish youth to the broader Jewish community, Cincy Journeys has provided grants for overnight Jewish camps and Israel travel for high school and college students since its establishment in 2000.
As a ground-breaking program funded by The Jewish Foundation and administered by The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, Cincy Journeys has been instrumental in sending more than 2,000 Jewish young people from Cincinnati to Israel to develop stronger and more personal connections with Israel and their Jewish heritage.
The Foundation has provided over 1,300 grants and over 2,100 Israel grants, and as a result, Cincinnati sends more Jewish youth per capita to Israel on these programs than any other Jewish community in North America.
